Prunus lusitanica Angustifolia 20L 150-175

A superb evergreen hedging choice, Prunus lusitanica ‘Angustifolia’ (Portuguese laurel, narrow-leaved form) forms a dense, easily-clipped screen with neat, glossy green, narrowly elliptic foliage. In early summer it carries small white flowers in upright clusters, followed by small dark berries. Suited to sun or partial shade and most moderately fertile, well-drained garden soils, it makes a refined, formal hedge that responds well to regular trimming. Left untrimmed it can reach around 5–8m in height with a spread of 3–5m over time, though it is usually kept much lower as a hedge.
