PHYLLOSTACHYS AUREOSULCATA AUREOCAULIS CLT 30 H 250 - 300 CM

Phyllostachys aureosulcata f. aureocaulis is a vigorous, upright evergreen bamboo prized for its bright golden culms, often marked by a contrasting green groove, and dense green foliage. Excellent for tall screening and hedging, it grows best in sun or light shade in fertile, moist but well‑drained soil. It forms an upright clump with canes that may arch slightly with age; rhizomes can spread, so use a suitable root barrier where containment is needed. In time, expect an eventual height of about 6–8m and a spread of roughly 3–4m if unrestrained.

Feeding time: spring
Trimming time: thin out old, dead or weak canes in spring; light clipping to maintain height and shape in summer

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
