Ligustrum ovalifolium C2.5

Ligustrum ovalifolium C2.5

Ligustrum ovalifolium is a robust, fast-growing, semi-evergreen shrub widely used for dense, easily maintained hedges and screening. It carries neat, glossy green leaves and bears small white summer flowers, with berries often following. Adaptable to most well-drained soils in sun or light shade, it forms a reliable boundary hedge that responds well to clipping. Expect an eventual height of about 3–4m with a spread of roughly 2–3m if left untrimmed.

Feeding time: Spring (apply a light dressing of a balanced general fertiliser and mulch)
Trimming time: Trim twice: once in May and again in late August to maintain a neat hedge

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
