Griselinia littoralis is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub with glossy, bright green leaves, widely used for dense, reliable hedging and coastal shelter. It establishes quickly, clips neatly and makes an excellent year-round backdrop for other planting. Best in full sun to light shade and moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil. If left untrimmed it can reach about 8 m tall and 4 m wide, though it is usually maintained much smaller as a hedge.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height.
