Wisteria is a vigorous, twining deciduous climber ideal for covering sturdy walls, pergolas and arches, offering dramatic cascades of bloom in late spring to early summer and attractive green foliage through the growing season. This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. For best flowering, plant in sun or light shade in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, and train its stems along horizontal wires or a framework, pruning in late summer and again in winter to manage size and encourage abundant blooms. Given time and appropriate support, it can reach around 8–10m in height and 4–8m in spread.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.
