Solanum jasminoides

Solanum jasminoides, commonly called white potato vine, is a vigorous, semi-evergreen climber with glossy green foliage and clusters of starry white flowers produced through summer into early autumn. Best trained against a warm wall, trellis or pergola in fertile, moist but well-drained soil and a sheltered spot with full sun to light shade. This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. When mature it can reach around 6m in height with a spread of about 3m, making a superb choice for adding vertical interest and covering structures.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.

We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall).
