Lonicera heckrottii American Beauty

Lonicera × heckrottii 'American Beauty' is a richly scented, twining honeysuckle grown for its showy summer flowers, which open rosy-pink to purple on the outside with soft yellow interiors. This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. Ideal for training on wires, trellis, arches or pergolas in full sun or light shade, it performs best in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Expect an eventual height of around 4m with an approximate spread of 1.5–2m across a suitable support. Deciduous green foliage provides a leafy backdrop through the growing season, and light pruning after flowering helps maintain shape and encourage new growth.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.
