KERRIA JAPONICA PLENA

KERRIA JAPONICA PLENA

Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora' is a vigorous, deciduous shrub valued for its profusion of double, pompon-like yellow flowers in mid to late spring, borne on graceful, arching, bright green stems that also add interest in winter. Fresh green, toothed leaves clothe the stems and can take on yellow tones in autumn. Grow in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. Given time, plants can reach around 3–4m in height with a spread of approximately 1.5–2.5m across a suitable support.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
