Hydrangea petiolaris mix P17

Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris is a vigorous, deciduous climbing hydrangea valued for its ability to thrive on shaded walls and fences. Large, flat, lacecap-style clusters of white flowers appear in early summer (typically June to July), set against green, heart-shaped foliage that provides reliable cover through the growing season. This climber is self-clinging and can attach itself to suitable walls or structures as it grows. Best in moist, fertile, well‑drained, humus‑rich soil, it is ideal for north- or east-facing aspects. Given time, it can reach around 12m in height with a spread of up to about 8m when supported, creating a handsome, architectural sheet of foliage and blossom.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.
