Clematis Avalanche

Clematis Avalanche

Clematis 'Avalanche' (Cartmanii Group) is an evergreen clematis prized for its finely divided, fern-like green foliage and a profusion of starry white flowers in early spring. This compact, reliable climber is ideal for training over trellis, arches or a sunny, sheltered wall and will perform best in full sun or light shade with the roots kept cool in fertile, well-drained soil. This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. Given time, it will typically reach around 2.5–3m in height and spread to about 1.5m across a support, making it a superb choice for adding bright spring interest and graceful texture to vertical garden spaces.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
