Clematis alpina 'Imke' C3 - trellis

Clematis alpina 'Imke' is an early-flowering, deciduous clematis valued for its delicate, nodding, bell-shaped blooms in spring and fine, divided green foliage. Ideal for covering trellis, obelisks, arches or a lightly shaded wall, it flowers in spring and needs little pruning beyond a light tidy after flowering (Group 1). This climber requires a suitable support to establish and grow. Thriving in sun or light shade and in moist but well-drained, fertile soil, it is a reliable, hardy choice for adding vertical interest in cottage-garden or architectural settings. Expect an eventual height of about 2.5–3m with a spread of roughly 1–1.5m across its support.

This climbing plant has been trained onto a supporting frame to create a neat, well-shaped specimen that is ready for planting. As it grows, new shoots can be guided and secured to continue developing its natural shape.
