Aster n-b 'Showmakers Blue Bayou'

A compact Michaelmas daisy for late-season colour, Aster n-b 'Showmakers Blue Bayou' forms neat clumps that carry masses of daisy-like blooms from late summer into autumn. Best in full sun and a moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, it suits mixed borders and containers in Irish gardens. Deadhead to extend the display, water during dry spells, and divide congested clumps every few years to maintain vigour and reduce the risk of mildew through improved air circulation.
